Birthday Party

My mother and I drove to Northridge on Saturday to attend a birthday party for her first cousin, Bill Wiechmann, who turned 80 on Friday. It is always fun to catch up on news from these relatives we so seldom see.

Farmers' Markets

Hooray for the Farmers' Markets in the Greater Long Beach area! I have been enjoying the fresh fruits of the season, including nectarines, peaches, and plums. There are markets available every day of the week, I think, at different locations. Yesterday we went to Norwalk, on the south side of Alondra just west of Pioneer. Hours there are Tuesdays, 8:00am to 1:00pm, though several of the stands were closing up shortly after noon. Enjoy!
